Welcome!

WHAT DO WE DO?

The krewe is a nonprofit corporation founded to educate Chicagoans about the history and cultural influences of Carnival and Southern Louisiana culture.

The krewe’s largest annual event is our annual Mardi Gras Bash and Second Line parade, held on a Saturday before Mardi Gras Day. This year’s bash will be Saturday, Feb. 22, 2020. The Krewe participates in other parades and events throughout the year, including our second line at the 2018 and 2019 Chicago Jazz Festival!

WHAT ELSE DO WE DO?

The Mystick Krewe of LAFF gives back to the community, living up to the creed for American Carnival first adopted by New Orleans’ own Krewe of REX - Pro bono Publico! - For the Public Good. We volunteer at food pantries and help withfundraising events for other nonprofits.

Laissez les bons temps roulez!
